Second two-three: @Aidan shoves off the counter and the two of them grapple, stumbling sideways across the kitchen, locked together — @Aidan grabs the intruder's jacket front, the intruder hooks @Aidan's arm. Dishes slide off the counter behind them. Ugly, desperate, no technique — two men fighting for real. Second four-five: @Intruder2 drives a knee into @Aidan's stomach — @Aidan folds, gasping, grip loosening. The intruder slams him back against the shelving unit — jars rattle and one falls, smashing on the floor. Second six-seven: @Aidan, winded, grabs a bowl from the counter behind him and swings it into the side of the intruder's head — it shatters on impact. @Intruder2 staggers. Second eight-nine: @Intruder2 recovers fast, furious, and throws @Aidan hard to the ground — @Aidan hits the floor and skids into the base of the cabinets. Second ten: @Intruder2 pulls a pistol from his belt and levels it down at @Aidan on the floor. @Aidan, on his back, hands up, breathing hard, blood from a cut on his eyebrow. Camera handheld, tight, following the grapple — swinging with the struggle, dropping when @Aidan drops. Chaotic but the faces stay readable. DIALOGUE: @Aidan, throwing the elbow: "Get the hell—" then gasping as the knee hits his stomach, wordless pain. After being thrown down, looking up at the gun, breathing hard: "Wait — wait—" @Intruder2, standing over him with the pistol: "Stay down. Next time I don't ask." AUDIO: the crack of the elbow connecting through the mask, both men grunting with effort, feet scrambling on wood, the shelf rattling, the jar smashing, the ceramic bowl shattering against the skull — a sharp ugly sound — @Aidan's body hitting the floor hard, the metallic slide-click of the pistol being drawn.
